The inspector may also find issues with the insulation that could lead to leaks if the roof itself has issues. The inspector may also find pests that need to be removed and wood repaired. Pest Inspections

Pest inspections do not just happen in the roof area. The entire house should be inspected from top to bottom for pests. Most people believe this type of inspection is only for termites. The truth is, there are many types of pests that can cause damage to the home. These include certain types of bees and hornets. You may also have a roach or ant infestation that you are not aware of. This can lead to your heater or cooling system becoming overloaded and possibly breaking. It can also lead to issues of dampness that will eventually lead to water damage. This means your inspector will look throughout the house and property for problems with insulation. This includes windows, doors, attics, and basement areas. 

An inspection allows you to know what may be a problem, is a growing concern, or is not up to building codes. All of these issues can be fixed. Following the inspection, the building inspection services inspector will give you a write-up of all the issues found. They will also give you a timeframe to have the repairs done if necessary. A copy of the inspection will also be given to your real estate manager and may be made available to the buyer upon request.
